For Ohio’s economy to get back on track, we need senators who have private sector and local government experience. Jerry Cirino has both and will put that experience to work for all Ohioans.
The voters of our community care about JOBS and the health of our economy. They want a senator who has created jobs and who understands what it takes to support a family.
As a private sector businessman, Jerry Cirino has created hundreds of jobs right here in our district. As a county commissioner, he used conservative governing to help create an environment where entrepreneurs and small business owners can thrive. Jerry Cirino will take that same leadership to the state senate. Jerry’s experience will prove very helpful as Ohio looks to rebuild its economy post-COVID.
DEFENDING THOSE WHO PROTECT US & KEEPING OUR COMMUNITIES SAFE
Rogue police officers senselessly took the life of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota earlier this year. But these officers’ actions don’t mirror the incredible sacrifices made by the overwhelming majority of law enforcement – men and women who serve with honor and distinction and put their lives on the line for us every single day.
Radicals recklessly want to defund the police, and Jerry Cirino will never let that happen on his watch. As state senator, he will proudly stand with law enforcement and work with them and community leaders to find real solutions to our district’s most pressing needs.
DELIVERING FOR SENIORS
As County Commissioner, Jerry Cirino has delivered on his promise to support seniors with a growing number of programs to meet the basic needs of seniors, to protect them from those who would take advantage of them, and to provide facilities for socialization and entertainment for these important members of our community.
SIZE AND SCOPE OF GOVERNMENT
As a conservative, Jerry has always believed that state and local governments should control more and more of their destiny…not less. Our federal government has grown way beyond the original intent of our Founders and has become expensive and intrusive in many ways. Past administrations forgot about the concept of ‘enumerated powers’ and has misused the ‘Commerce Clause’ as an excuse to meddle in state and local affairs.
EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Every Ohio student should have access to a high quality education at all levels, regardless of where they live or the value of their community’s real estate. Families also must have educational choices while not causing harm to our public school systems.
Ohio also needs to focus more on workforce development so that businesses have access to trained workers to support business growth. Our educational institutions need to work closely with local businesses to understand their needs and adjust programs to meet those needs.
