About Jerry

Senator Jerry Cirino, a Republican, has brought his considerable business expertise and proven leadership to our state government. He represents the 18th Ohio Senate District, which includes all of Lake County and the Eastern and Southern communities of Cuyahoga County.

He and his wife, Donna, have lived in Lake County for over 45 years where they raised their nine (9) children. They now have 37 grandchildren, all of whom reside in the great state of Ohio.

As a retired business executive, Senator Cirino has spent many years leading companies in the medical device and distribution arena. He was the founding CEO of SourceOne Healthcare Technologies in Mentor, a company with sales in excess of $1 billion. He has brought hundreds of new jobs to Lake County and Ohio.

He has previously served as chairman of the board of trustees of Lakeland Community College and served as a board member of Lake Heath Systems and Lake Erie College. Additionally, he continues to serve on boards of numerous companies and not-for-profit organizations. Since his recent retirement from business, he has been an active member of the Northeast Ohio community and currently provides consulting services to small businesses.

A fiscal conservative, Jerry believes that government should be run by people qualified to evaluate future strategies and to properly manage the extremely large budgets that taxpayers entrust to them. As Vice Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Cirino was deeply involved in the historic Ohio budget recently passed which provides record tax relief, investments in EdChoice and major provisions for economic development and public safety.

Jerry is not your traditional politician. He decided to run for the State Senate for the right reason; to secure a healthy and safe community with a promising future for all. He believes that his experience in managing large budgets, dealing with complex business challenges, along with his passion for success, will help District 18 and Ohio secure a promising future.
